Hey ho, this is so good Tracy, I love all of it, the rhymes the night the fright the cat, and of course your mind, I love the way you think, I am inspired by your writing and I’m learning from you! Go well, Geraldine

I too love reading your poetry- I think we are kindred souls 😊😊

Yes I believe so too Tracy, and kindred souls makes me think about the kindness of strangers and their kindness leaves me speechless at times, kindness happens. G

I like this. The temptation to second guess is a profoundly haunting one.

Thank you, Ryan for taking time to read and comment. This group was blasts from my past- so interesting to revisit the ‘me’ that felt and wrote this stuff. I am glad you liked it!

Thanks for sharing. I read a post yesterday saying to go ahead and share our older work. Because everyone still likes seeing the Mona Lisa.

soothing, yet unsettling

I like that feeling from the safety of my chair.

I really enjoyed this comment- made my day actually- just the kind of vibe I like to go for in my “horror” type writing and storytelling! 🥰🙏🏼

Every time you post something I hope it’s the first chapter of your book. When I read this poem, I was left with a chill, and a hope that your book was of the same nature.

I am still working on my 3-part novellas - I really hope it has that kind of weird feel to it. I started Substack in late Dec 2023 and thought it would help me with getting into a writing groove, which it definitely has. Problem is, that I find myself spending more time on my shorts, poems and essays here than finishing my book! HA! I thank you for asking about it and maybe you might consider being a sort of "beta reader" for some of my chapters? Don't feel bad if you don't want to or don't have the time, I just thought with what you said and your interest in seeing it, that I would offer. I have one other lady on here that is very engaged with my stuff that I am also going to ask to do that at some point. Thanks again - I really appreciate your interest!

Tracy, I don’t think I have ever felt so honored. Thank you. I think you would be the wisest choice for a beta reader. This is, of you, your creation. I will suggest that when you feel you are finished, set it aside for a few weeks. Don’t even look at it. When you read it again, you will see things that you may want to do.

You have fresh eyes, and that excitement that I see in children who love what they are making. You have not lost that. It's really exciting to watch. 🐈‍⬛

You are incredibly kind- thank you.

Certainly! I have had my eyes on it for so long now I am not sure I am seeing it as it should be seen. At some point when I believe I am finished, I know I will want a reader who enjoys this genre to give me a response. Thank you again 🥰🤗
