Sunday is in the air Tracy dear one, I’m glued to your white words on black and I am still reading, I did break for a flood of tears, good and honest and humbling tears with a golden good dose of forgiveness, and a second latte breve. More shortly, G
I meant only good and positive things-I hope there is goodness and comfort in your thoughts and feelings sweet sister. I don’t think anyone knows definitively about what is our relationship with the divine until we die, but this is simply the evolution of my beliefs . 🥰🫶🏼🤗
To know my ramblings made you feel this way makes it worthwhile to post such things! I feel it will offend the traditionalists and the atheists lol, but I found hope and joy in it and it sounds like it also resonates with you! Love always. 🥰🥰🙏🏼✨✨
"How this belief in predestination came about, I can only suppose: once the church began to advocate for an Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnibenevolent, Omnipresent deity, they could not back pedal and say Quadruple O does not know EVERYTHING. The existence of free will in this model must not have been the problem for them that it is for me." I wish you could have been there to call them on this.
I see understand of god as an evolutionary process. To know that so much of the ancient knowledge and writings were manipulated and controlled by the powers that were, makes blind adherence to dogma and precepts of any church suspect to me. Before there were churches, there were individuals trying to understand the mysteries of the unknown- this path remains a deeply personal experience to me though I continue to try and respect others’ beliefs. I am finding much to learn in revisiting pagan past and practices as well as the early church…not to mention eastern thought. I feel like the x-files here lol, “the truth is out there”.
Thank you Tracy, I love this! ✨💜The best gift the Creator gave us I believe is freedom of choice. Invariably a Christian will say, his greatest gift was his son Jesus. But Jesus got to his position through freedom of choice, and has always remained next to the Creator’s side as his son.
Beautifully said and reasoned, Charlotte. I am a great admirer of this freedom of choice which also seems often to be the root of many of our problems 😊🫶🏼
Indeed! I was raised with a Christian perspective on religion, but from a family with a dozen different outlooks on faith. My mother for instance was an atheist.
Years ago, I decided to ignore what Christian doctrine teaches, and study the Bible and what I believe are other holy books on my own. The first gift God gave Adam and Eve is freedom of choice. God doesn’t force us to do anything or we’d be robots. God wants to see authenticity. ✨🤗💜🙏
While the dyslexic atheist claims there is no Dog, I'm just happy when my karma doesn't hit my dogma. Love the essay. It made me think about posting a few of my wild and crazy God poems which I have been saving for a book.
Not in the slightest. There is a lot of overlap in our thinking and questioning. Ever read Edwin Abbott's Flatland? Superb mix of ontology and satire. The human being's capacity to understand God is akin to the two dimensional flat creature trying to conceive of the third dimension. I see déjà vu as a glimpse - a tantalizing wink from the Creator of our four dimensions and probably an infinite number of higher ones. I see God as the resolver of contradictions and paradoxes. Can he make a rock so heavy he can't pick it up? That's where we come in.
If I had the techno skills to share in Notes this from you, I would! Really well put comment that provides a glimpse of the guy behind the curtain. Always a pleasure to read your comments 😊🙏🏼🫶🏼
I enjoyed that essay, and love the poem at the end. Lots to think about.

Thank you Tracy. I feel one less being alone.
