Thank you, Joseph! Part 3 has a battle scene which is the first time I have written of a battle, other than internal conflicts or arguments - it has been challenging and I keep going back in and editing it- can’t think of anything I’ve written that has felt as demanding- do you find fantasy writing to be different for you than other sorts of writing?
I've written a bit of everything. I love to write fantasy so much that it's easier for me to write. But then, I've been thinking about this series for years. Swords and Magic are easier to write than modern fiction or science fiction. I don't have to worry about the technology and can concentrate on the people.
Fantasy flows, whereas science fiction requires me to think of everything else.
Romance flows just as easily as fantasy, at least in this setting.
" No living thing exists solely on either side " I breathed a sigh of relief when I read this. This one line, made it all the preceding descriptions of Male Female, plausible . It has been a long long time since I have enjoyed reading books of other worlds. The convergence of wills, in the Woods, is beautifully Nuanced.
I am so glad it resonated with you- in writing it, over and over I found myself having to clarify my own beliefs so that my story could feel honest to how I see things. Life is a journey but in the telling I think we find our truths hidden under layers. Thank you so much for taking time to write this- I truly appreciate it.
Stop it!! I am dying laughing- well huh. Here is my synopsis (your cliff notes): The world is full of assholes making deals with devils. Mom and Dad are not happy - Mom wants to scheme ways to help them, Dad is inclined to let them deal with the shit of their own making. There’s a big war and a washed up Queen finally grows a set and helps Mom against the devils. Dad can’t sit back and do nothing coz he still loves Mom and helps too. There’s also a wunderkind who may or may not continue to whoop ass to save the world . The End.
Not all that glitters is gold. Not all those who wander are lost.
Not all old Crones are wicked witches
They might be goddesses in hiding.
You're doing great with the balance of the world. For every good, there is an evil.
For every light, shadow.

I guess you'd call my genre fantasy romance.
