A lovely story. One minor detail, however: potbellied pigs freak out if their feet aren't on the ground. The one thing you don't want to do is scoop one up.
I love them though I have no experience with them. I researched quite a bit but did not know this! If I ever am able to get one as a pet, I will remember your advice 🤗🤗
According to University of Bristol: Approach a piglet quietly and slowly. Catch a piglet by grasping its hind leg just above the hock. Never pick up a piglet by a front limb or its tail as this is painful and may cause damage. While holding the hindleg with one hand, place the other hand under the chest to provide support as the piglet is lifted.
Perhaps I should have dwelt more on technique for picking up a baby pig in a fiction piece…something to consider in editing. Thank you for commenting 😊😊
I already have! This story was in response to a prompt from Reedsy to write about a cynical character who winds up in a blind date. Habing never written romance before, I incorporated these sweet little potbellies that I love into my story. Thank you for reading and taking time to comment.
Yeah, I remember it- pretty weirdly funny. I have struggled to come up with another romance story, not ever been a subject of choice for me, I think I mostly wanted to write about those little pot bellies!

Even baby ones? Hmm, a genetic all round fear of being held?
In general, as soon as their feet leave the ground, they panic. I don't know why, it's a pig thing!

I want to stress, I loved the story! But pigs are very fussy about their feet
I'm not a romance reader, but I could fall in love with a pot-belly!

The name reminds me of 'Fifty first dates".
Haha! Isn’t that the one where the lead had amnesia?
She had been in an accident and woke up every morning, having completely forgotten all of the days after the accident.
