So you were working from your pure emotional reaction? I was filled with sadness for this little person. No hugs, no cuddles with a book, all I could think to answer was, it's okay, come sit with me. It's like that in school at times. Emotions are part of what makes life feel abundant. Each emotion has it's own beauty. This is going to sound weird, but thank y9ou for filling me with sadness, it made my heart feel huge. You are a craftsman.

Actually, I drew from my own experience, not from my feelings, but from growing up with my mother who I suspect was undiagnosed …something…maybe auspergers. I am so moved by your reaction- my mother and I had a very complicated relationship. I suppose I channeled her a bit and must have done it well. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🙏🏼💕
I have worked with children who were diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, and Autism. Very sweet kids, with some incredible coping mechanisms. I still have some of the drawings they gave me. Communication can be difficult, but a calm demeanor, and soothing voice, helps. You probably developed skills of communication that some people do not have. You are unique, I'm really happy to be reading you.

I also worked in a special education classroom years ago and found my entire mindset overhauled by what I learned and saw.
