Sing sweet summer air You have grown full and fruitful - Nothing can compare. A cute pop of blue Nestled between twig and leaf Babies peck their shell. Soft green sprigs of grass Lie smitten by my cruel blade; A fragrant, wet rug. Breezes bless my screen Passing easily between Criss-cross obstructions. Fireflies, cicadas, Owls and bats people the night, Denizens of dark. The woods are silent But for a chirp, a crackle My footsteps intrude. Summer is a dream Ablaze in vibrant blossom A child’s tea party.
Exquisite Lady Tracy, calling out bliss and Earthing, poetry as prayer! Have a lovely week and beyond, Geraldine
